March 17, 2018 LDR is proud to announce and welcome Ryan Martin as a Principal. In this role, Ryan will focus on design and implementation of advanced planning and solutions with respect to strategy and operations for our clients, as well as serve as counsel for our internal operations. Ryan comes to LDR from Vinson & Elkins LLP where he practiced as a corporate attorney focused on mergers and acquisitions, securities and corporate finance, including large-scale transactions with private equity, publicly-traded and private companies. “Our team is a lot better with the addition of Ryan,” said LDR Principal Rich Sexton. “Ryan comes with a strong legal background in M&A and a strict discipline honed at Harvard Law School.
We continue to focus on what is most important, building high performing teams!” Ryan is a graduate of Harvard Law School and Louisiana State University Honors College. He is also fluent in Mandarin Chinese and has spent significant time in China for business and government initiatives and academic research.

Ryan and his wife, Elizabeth, reside in Houston, Texas, and are both passionate about public service. Ryan volunteers as a member of the board of directors of the Houston First Corporation, which is an operator and manager of several assets for the City of Houston, and Elizabeth provides legal representation to immigrant children as a Senior Attorney at Catholic Charities for the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston. Ryan volunteers as a mentor for high school students through EMERGE, and for college students through South Central Scholars.
